Hurricanes, Moving and Cockades
Bottom line: I can't reopen my shop till the mail starts running again! :)
Howdy from Hurricane Alley!
I finally have enough internet from my phone to be able to send everyone a quick update. I know a number of folks have been asking when my shop will reopen. Well, first I need to have a working Post Office so I can mail packages. Second, it would be nice to have power for our house, not just a generator. And third, it would also help to have open roads for driving to the store and the Post Office!
We are very blessed to have suffered no harm to ourselves or damage to our houses (Mom and Dad’s house, and Grandma’s new house). But our area of Upstate SC looks like a war zone and is still dangerous to drive around in. We have approximately 100 trees down on the road we live on (which is only 2 miles long!). We have 6-8 BIG trees down in our yard.
BUT… the good news is… I DO have some time here and there to sew cockades! So if you would like to email me your orders, I can at least start working on what you need. Then when power and the PO are back online, I can reopen the shop officially for you to pay for your purchases.
Please keep hurricane victims in your prayers. So many small towns in FL, SC, GA and NC have simply been wiped off the map. It’s going to take a long time to rebuild.
Hopefully I’ll have a full Cockade Column for you next week! Meantime, if you need a cockade “fix,” check out my blog at https://creativecockades.blogspot.com/.
See you next week!
